IFA2 / Interconnection France – England
An additional 1,000 MW under the sea between France and England to strengthen Europe’s energy.
It consists of a DC link of approximately 225 km between Bellengreville south of Caen and Fareham in England. At both ends, conversion stations provide the transformation of direct current into alternating current. The capacity of the link is 1 Giga Watts.
