As the economy and ecology are increasingly interdependent, our approach is global, integrating rigorous financial management, environmental awareness and constructive interaction with all our stakeholders (customers, suppliers, partners…).
We are convinced that the success of our company lies in the balance between profitability, respect for the environment and harmonious relations with our employees, partners and the wider community.
This tripartite vision is the foundation of our strategy, guiding our actions and commitments towards a sustainable and mutually beneficial future for all.
Stakeholder participation
Rigorous selection of purchases
In terms of purchasing, zinc accounts for 30% of our expenditure and represents our most significant impact. That’s why we prefer to use low-carbon zinc.
Our suppliers, whether mining or recycling, are committed to extracting this raw material in a way that reduces the CO² footprint, notably through the use of photovoltaic power plants.
Most of these suppliers are located in Northern Europe, notably in Finland, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands.
When it comes to the wire used for hanging, we use local suppliers located near Nantes, in order to reduce the carbon footprint associated with transport.
As for the chemicals required for our processes, we source 100% from French suppliers, mainly located in Northern France, in order to support the French economy and minimize delivery distances.
Recycling is carried out at sites close to our plants. Finally, we work exclusively with regional carriers.
Our customers become our suppliers
We favor a dynamic of mutually beneficial exchange by selecting our suppliers from among our own customers whenever possible, thus creating a virtuous circle.
Our customers, all steel professionals such as craftsmen, locksmiths, metalworkers, boilermakers and carpenters, are often involved in our infrastructure projects.
They have played a key role in the recent upgrades of Galva Atlantique and Galva Métal, providing, for example, the modular structures for Galva Atlantique’s offices.
For Galva Métal, fit-outs such as the new offices, cart wash area, canopies and exterior lighting were carried out with the expertise of our customers.
